The applications and games used in today's tests are the latest of what was available at the time of this analysis - links to demos and free trials are provided when applicable. We would like to thank AMD, Noctua and OCZ for supplying and supporting us with our test system hardware and equipment. GIGABYTE's GTX 570 SOC (GV-N570SO-13I) features a default core clock of 845 MHz (732 MHz reference) and memory running at 1900 MHz (3800 MHz effective). Overclocking allowed us to increase the core to 990 MHz and memory to 2350 MHz (4700 MHz effective) without any memory voltage adjustments. For consistency we continued to use MSI's Afterburner software even though it didn't allow memory voltage adjustments like GIGABYTE's OC Guru did. So while more performance may be available via higher memory clocks, we chose not to push the voltages as memory can be fairly sensitive to voltage increases. Default specifications as displayed by TechPowerUp's GPU-Z are on the left, while overclocked settings and details are on the right.   Game Benchmarks: We have compiled a list of popular and graphically challenging games which include titles utilising Microsoft's DirectX 9, 10 and 11 APIs for testing today; tested in 1920x1200 and 1680x1050 resolutions that are most commonly used by gamers based on Steam's hardware survey.
