With Gamespy
1. First of all, download the program from here. Run the exe, Choose Standard Installation
and begin the Install.
2. The program will search
your hard drive for games it supports, it may or may not find
more games then Counter Strike depending on what you have installed.
3. Next step is to setup your player profile, put in a nickname,
choose Half-Life and dont worry about the rest.
4. If you are the only person who is going to use this you can
set your player as the default GameSpy player
5. Once gamespy starts you'll see 3 main areas of the screen.
On the left are the master server lists, the large box in the
top half is the list of game servers and the box at the bottom
shows you the players, the frags and server rules.
6. Select the serverlist and hit 'Insert' or go to 'Server' and
select 'Add'. Select 'Half-Life' as game, enter cs.overclockers.com.au
as the 'Address', leave the port as 27015
7. The servername should now be in the list and hilighted, doubleclick
it or just hit enter and Gamespy will exectute counterstrike and
join the server for you!
8. The list is littered
with non counterstrike servers, there are many half-life mods
out there. Grab the Counter-Strike filtering tab here. Install it by right clicking on the 'All
Servers' box, selecting 'Import custom tab' and selecting the
extracted tab.
