DrR0M created this one. You can download it from here, just backup your half-life\cstrike\pldecal.wad and replace it with the one you downloaded.
How to create your own custom logo:
How to create your own single
colour logo:
(There are extensive instructions in the Half-Life Readme.txt
on how to create your own single colour decal, however, let me
quickly run over the process.)
How to create your own 256
colour logo
This is a slightly more difficult process, the basic steps are:
FAQ for colour logos (aka, why the hell doesn't it work):
Nothing appears
when I spray my logo:
Check the size of your logo, it cannot be larger then 10752 pixels
(that's the width x height) Make sure it was an 8-bit 256-colour
graphic Make sure you have put the pldecal.wad in your \half-life\cstrike\
directory Check you can see other decals, bullet holes, blood,
other peoples logos etc, there is a bug with some video modes,
try adjusting your gl_polyoffset value and check your r_decals
isnt 0
People say they
can't see my logo:
Or say it looks like I've sprayed a hostage rescue zone or something
else or Some guy just sprayed (inset odd decal name here) on the
wall, what gives? Since custom designed logos are just that -
custom designed, they have to be transferred from person to person
before they can be seen. If someone sprays a logo before you have
it cs will stick some other decal in there. (Usually the 'hostage
rescue zone' one.) If you don't have cl_allowdownload set
to one, then you wont download other peoples logos (doesnt waste
bandwidth for modem users) also if you don't have cl_allowupload
set to one also you will not send your custom logo to the server
for people to retrieve and thus no one will see it. Check the
size of your wad, most servers won't accept a wad bigger then
15kb
My logo has reverted
to a default one:
Or looks greyish / washed out / isn't in the customise menu. DO
NOT visit the customise menu after you have copied the pldecal.wad
- it does horrible things to it, if you have done this, recopy
the pldecal.wad file again Make sure the last palette colour of
the image is RGB 0 0 255 (Full blue) and that its in the last
position in the palette (index 255).
