The race is over: and the winners are....
Alright ladies and gents, after 28 days of b0rging, overclocking, and getting those extra machines online, the race has come to a close. It is our pleasure to announce that those crazy biker's, folding under boky, have taken out the race!!!! Maj_Feltch_Monkey has taken out second, while wing has managed to hang onto third. ho_k raced 9 places up the ladder on this update to take out fourth, waz2005 has ended up in 5th place, OverPAQ'd in sixth, and flatout takes out the final prize position in seventh. Congratulations to you all!!!!

The most valuable newbie award has been a tough decision, as there are a number of racers who could've taken it out. However, there can be only one winner, and it has been decided that the most valuable newbie is Gumby.One. Well done!!!! . Other notable mentions in this category are team boky, you bikers really know how to pile on the points, and thequiet1.

We would like to congratulate all racers on their efforts in this race. Over the race period, you have produced 2.2 million points for OCAU. And just for the record, this race has resulted in an extra 410 000 points produced for OCAU. So well done everyone, that is an awesome effort!!!!

Finally, we'd like to thank everyone that has helped in organising and running this race. Thanks go to Bollocks for helping out with stats stuff, EH_Holden_1964, FearTec, and OverPAQ'd for donating prizes to the race, and to TeamXFAU members Ellroy80, Pyro, karsa, kitwalker and CaeSiuM-X, who helped with stats collection, prize donation, and decision making. A special thanks goes to TheQuackMyster, who setup the stats pages which made it possible for the stats to be easily updated on a daily basis, and hosted the pages for us (through Toast WebHosting http://www.toast.net.au).

Once again, thanks to everyone for an awesome race!!! Fold on!!!!

Summary:

1st - Boky
2nd - Maj_Feltch_Monkey
3rd - wing
4th - ho_k
5th - waz2005
6th - OverPAQ'd

100 days wandering in the wilderness: can we find our way out in less time?

It was one hundred days ago when we succumbed to the [H]orde's attack and fell back into second place on the 31st of December last year. It has taken this long to gather ourselves together ready for the trek back to the top. Can we beat 100 days for the return journey?  I think we can, the target date of the 18th of July is just 99 days away. We will need to average 55,712 points a day more than the [H]orde to reach our destination, so if you have it, Fold it and lets see what nearly 9000 CPU's can do in the next 99 days...
