Subteam TeamXFAU:  About to hit 2 million and want to celebrate..
Ellroy and the gang are going to celebrate passing the two million milestone in grand style and want you all to join in the celebrations.

That's right people, TeamXFAU is about to hit the 2 million point mark, and to mark the occasion, we have decided to organise a race for all OCAU folders, old or new!!!

'Tis a simple race really, basically it's a time trial. The race will be run over 4 weeks. Whoever can increase their average PPD production the most over this time wins!!! Simple as that, no handicaps, no divisions, nothing - it's all against all!!!!

As prizes, TeamXFAU members, plus other OCAU folders, will be folding under the winners' username for two weeks. The prize breakdown has yet to be confirmed, but will probably look something like this:

1st prize: 24 x P4's (all 3.6 ghz), donated by EH_Holden_1964 on behalf of Sunraysia Institute of TAFE (
www.sunitafe.edu.au)
2nd prize: 4 x P4's (2x 2.8 ghz, 2x 3.0 ghz), donated by me
3rd prize: 1 x A64 4400+, 1 x P4 3ghz, donated by karsa
4th prize: 1 x A64 3500+ w/RAM OC'ed, 1x P4 2.8Ghz, donated by FearTec
5th prize: 2 x P4's (2x 2.8 ghz), donated by Pyro
6th prize: 1 x A64 3000+ @ 2.5ghz, 1 x XP-M 2800+, donated by CaeSiuM-X
7th prize: 1 x P4 3 ghz, donated by kitwalker

Most Value Newbie (MVN) prize: 21 Timeless Tinkers (= 5000 pts), donated by OverPAQ'd.

There's some great prizes there, they are good for current folders, providing a boost in production (good for those of you competing in other races as well), or for inactive folders, as a kickstart to get folding again, or for new folders, as a nice addition to your folding beginnings.

Enter the race by putting your FOLDING name in
this thread. This race will likely start sometime towards the end of next week. Good luck all, and fold on!!!

NB.

1. You don't actually win the computers. You win the folding CPU cycles of these computers, which ultimately boosts your folding score.

2. The race starts next Sunday, 12th March at 5pm WST. It will finish on Sunday, 9th April (pretty sure that's 4 weeks in total).

3. Your name MUST be on the Stanford/EOC stats page before the race starts. That means that you must have submitted work units before the start of the race. So get folding installed on your machine now!!!

4. Subteams can enter as well. So that numbers are comparable between teams and individuals, your average PPD will be divided by the number of members in your team.

TeamXFAU race: we are off and racing!!!

From Ellroy

Well, we've reached the time when we are off and racing in the TeamXFAU race!!! And we've timed it extremely well, as TeamXFAU has just passed 2 million points!!! (http://folding.extremeoverclocking....php?s=&u=140703) Well done to everyone in the team.

Alright, you can find the race stats here - http://teamxfau.toast.net.au/. Our people behind the scenes have been collecting stats for the past week, and have calculated your average PPD production over that time. That's what the page currently shows, therefore it should be the aim of all racer's to increase their average PPD past whatever it currently is. The page will change over subsequent updates, as we calculate the change in your PPD from what it currently is. Stats will be updated daily, they are collected at 5:15pm WST, and we will endeavour to get them online ASAP!!!

Thanks to Pyro and kitwalker for helping to collect the stats so far (and continuing to!!), and to TheQuackMyster, who is kindly hosting the stats page for us and has written all of the pages that make the daily updates a breeze.

Anyway, enough of the formalities - let the race begin!!!!! Good luck to all racers!

Shalimar's rap: slammin the house down once again...
Take Two For The OCAU Folding Crew!

The ever so faithful Sceggs.nsw.edu.au backed by that crazy professor ralphy SLAMM!!!!! the 6 mil milestone alone heading for that there throne. Travelling at 17+K a day, The Sceggs reactor is in the zone and heading hard for that 7mil stone. A big well done go out to Sceggs cause they are showin they got the legs.

Awesome effort.

When the chips are down he stays in town and helps us make up that little more ground. David Ra who folds as djr i find by far is da superstar. Travelling at 3.5+K a day he's lookin at keeping it that way cause he will never give i say. 2+mil he is today and djr is here to stay. He's a long term folder who just gets bolder and that is why he's a supafolder. A big congrats to David Ra or should i just say djr

He's a real cool cat that ferocious FaTs Just go and look at this dudes stats! In the brown not messin around FaTs will never go to ground cause this boy plans on hangin around. Travelling at 1K a day this cool cat is here to stay, he's on his way to that 1 mil way and he will get there real soon i say, and that's what really counts hozay and that is aokay i say. Almost 8000 WU's to his cred and that is something he does not dread. Well done FaTs and an awesome effort

cheapdomainseller.com is really startin to come on strong. Well on his way to 800K he once again will have his say, cruising at 12+K a day. 4000+ wu's he's already put down, something tells me he aint messin around. A big well done cheapdomainseller.com you just keep on bringin it on strong!

The silent achiever!

phattman
is who he be and it's his work that i can see. Stayin true, and in the blue phattman is doing it for you. You know what phattman you keep it true cause that is why i admire you. 300 points a day he banks and that's enough to keep his rank. 565+K he be today the phattman's gonna have his way. A big thank you i give to you cause peeps like you are what keeps us true.

An excellent effort and well done.

I wont stop until i drop!

They say he's quick but that's why he's slick in the green and looking mean travelling at 600+PPD he's well and truly on the way. 515+K he be this day slick makes no bones as to what they say. Lookin great at position number 88 slick has seen the highs and seen the lows and that boy slick knows what is the go. Thank you slick for staying true for you are part of our mighty crew.

Well done!

He's version 4 so say no more!

eltoro2006
is at it again not that i am one to complain. On page 2 and in the red eltoro2006 is back to his old tricks, at rank 131 he's one helluva gun cause this is the 4th time he's making this run. 3.5+K a day, heading into the 350K zone eltoro2006 will make it stick cause that is better than his hat trick! Well done eltoro2006

I tips my head to you i do as my mind boggles at what you do.

He may be small but he is the core! And this is where we need more.

Packratbob
is back on the job. And thank you Packratbob for coming back and helping us pick up that there slack. Slogging hard for the 270K yard at 400+PPD is well and truly good i say. Cause all you have to do is stay and help us make that final play. On page 2 and staying true that is the only thing you gotta do to strengthen this already mighty crew.

Thankyou for coming back.

Oh boy not again!

That boy Ellroy and his TeamXFownzU has gone and started a fire fight, i can already see the Master "Bollocks" & TwinCore Teddy2 going head to head once again, boy this is gonna drive me insane! Strategies are being formed equipment is being put in to place.....they are already starting to set the pace. Who will become the ace of this race we will have to wait and just plain anticipate.

He will ride forever thanks to the few who call themselves the OCAU.MC crew.

And that is boky on page 3 riding on till he breaks free, The OCAU.MC crew have now immortalised you forever more. There is not much i can really say as words are hard to find a way in which the OCAU.MC crew have placed you high.

Ride on boky, Ride on! To the OCAU.MC crew >>>>> you have my respect.

Shal's Player whose the stayer of the fortnight go's to the B-Man at position 330 with 151+K and 1600 WU's to his credit, he has been at it a long time and thats what counts. Well done B-Man

Shal's SLAMM! of the fortnight go's to boky, that's the OCAU.MC crew wheel standing boky to a high of almost 4.5K, it's all i can say.

Well another week has come and gone and another week we folded on, we are what we are and do what we do because it is all we can do to help fight off the beast that claims the many that we miss each day.

Over to you Stanford.
