CERT Australia have a new report (which confusingly has "2012" in the title) about cyber-security in Australia. The inaugural Survey was designed to obtain a better understanding of how cyber incidents are affecting the businesses that form part of Australia’s systems of national interest – the businesses that partner with CERT Australia. The findings from the survey provide a picture of the current cyber security measures these businesses have in place; the recent cyber incidents they have experienced; and their reporting of them.

Steam for Linux is officially available now, after a long beta test. To mark the occasion, Valve has discounted more than 50 Linux titles by as much as 75 percent for one week until February 21.

Engadget report on a beer-dispensing arcade machine. The minds at McKinney creative agency may have come up with the greatest reward for arcade victors -- an ice cold pour of beer. Created as a marketing tool for Big Boss Brewing Company, the aptly named Beercade features The Last Barfighter, a Street Fighter-like arcade game set inside a biker bar. To begin, two players place their cups in the tray below their respective tap, which replaces the machine's coin slots.

Meanwhile AMD have said they WILL have new GPUs this year and earlier reports are wrong. PCWorld reached out to AMD in the wake of all the hub-bub to get a feel for the situation, and while there are still plenty of questions up in the air, I was told by a chortling AMD representative, "We will certainly have new [GPU] products in 2013." The company plans to clarify its 2013 plans for the Radeon brand later this week. More info here.
