A few people sent in this huge panorama of London, where you can zoom in to an incredible level of detail.

There's an interesting article about the effect of Google Glass on others. The key experiential question of Google Glass isn’t what it’s like to wear them, it’s what it’s like to be around someone else who’s wearing them. I’ll give an easy example. Your one-on-one conversation with someone wearing Google Glass is likely to be annoying, because you’ll suspect that you don’t have their undivided attention. And you can’t comfortably ask them to take the glasses off (especially when, inevitably, the device is integrated into prescription lenses). Finally – here’s where the problems really start – you don’t know if they’re taking a video of you. Google Glass discussion continues here.

Seagate are apparently going to stop making 7200rpm mobile HDDs this year. Seagate Technology, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of hard disk drives, plans to cease production of mobile hard drives with 7200rpm spindle speed late this year as the mainstream market demand will shift to different products, such as solid-state hybrid drives (SSHDs). The company will continue to offer 5400rpm HDDs for value notebooks.

Evernote has been hacked. The company posted a security notice on its blog on Saturday announcing that an individual or individuals had been able to gain access to “Evernote user information, which includes usernames, email addresses associated with Evernote accounts and encrypted passwords.” Discussion here.

There's going to be a Portal-themed web series released later this month.
