New to the "now hackable" list: SIM cards, thanks AirQ. Yet after three years of research, German cryptographer Karsten Nohl claims to have finally found encryption and software flaws that could affect millions of SIM cards, and open up another route on mobile phones for surveillance and fraud.
Google are claiming a new internet record. Based on measurements of end device and user audience share, Google is now bigger than Facebook, Netflix and Twitter combined. An amazing 60% of all Internet end devices/users exchange traffic with Google servers during the course of an average day.
An 8yo girl has racked up a huge in-game bill from Apple, who cancelled it. Lily spent hours on the games, never realising she was also spending real money. Lee's bank, however, knew it was very real - and froze Lee's account after his daughter reportedly spent £2,000 in 74 transactions across just six days. Lee was faced with the prospect of selling his car to raise money to pay off his daughter's debts, after Apple's initial reaction that "all purchases made on the iTunes store are final".
