OCAU still has one of the leading teams in this distributed computing project. It uses spare CPU cycles to generate information about how proteins "fold", which may lead to cures for cancer, parkinsons disease and other illnesses. Even when you're using your PC the CPU is usually almost idle - so consider getting it to work for the good of mankind! More info on our OCAU Folding Page, this forum thread and our Team OCAU forum. If you're thinking of loading it up on some work or school PC's, make sure you have permission to do so.
