Email Competition Winners! (0 Comments) (link)
 Tuesday, 12-November-2002  13:22:10 (GMT +10) - by Agg

Time to announce the winners of the email competition we had running for the last couple of weeks or so. We had originally planned to have the draw at The Gathering last Sunday, but due to a lack of internet access at the venue and the requirement to check if the winning entries were using free emails etc, we had the draw during a small get-together for the senior admins at my place on Saturday night. We put all the entries (4300 or so) into a spreadsheet, randomised the spreadsheet and then drew numbers from a cup in order to choose entries from the spreadsheet.

Anyway, the net result is:

The Grand Prize, a complete Pentium 4 PC including monitor and speakers from Computer Alliance and Intel was won by (forum member) "jobaby", from Perth in WA. Congratulations to her and special thanks to CA and Intel for putting up such an awesome prize!

There were two second prizes - the first was an X-Micro GeForce 4 Impact Ti 4200 64MB video card with TV-Out from Altech Computers which was won by Spidey_Sense, also a forum user. The other second prize, being an MSI EZNow PDA and 2x MSI BlueTooth USB Transcievers from Plus Corporation were won by Rob Hogarth.

The third prizes were won by Dennis Behrend, Bubbablair, Michael Huynh, Natalie Murray and Gennady Kotliar. They'll score a random goodie from the AggCave which could be a Razor Boomslang 1000 (ex-review), some cool VIA merchandise ("leatherman"-type tool or pen with laser pointer in it) from TheDDRZone or a 2CoolPC system cooler (ex review).

I will contact the winners via email now. So, congrats to all who won and thanks to those who provided prizes - and of course, thanks to all who entered! I'll be sending an email to the entire list of entrants with the results soon, but when I work out how to get the mailinglist software working properly I'll start sending out proper newsletters.
