3GHz and HyperThreading from Intel! (0 Comments) (link)
 Thursday, 14-November-2002  23:50:43 (GMT +10) - by Agg

Intel announced their 3.06GHz P4 CPU today. This is interesting not only because it passes an impressive speed milestone, but also because it's the first desktop chip with their HyperThreading technology. Reviews on AnandTech, HardOCP, Digit-Life, HardWareZone, Hexus, X-Bit, TweakTown, FiringSquad, HotHardware, SimHQ, GamePC and TomsHardware.

Interestingly, VR-Zone have discovered you can enable hyperthreading on all Northwood-B P4s, by turning it on in the BIOS on supported boards. So, not just the 3.06GHz chips have it, apparently.
