Australia Post have advised that a mail truck has been destroyed by fire while travelling from Sydney to WA. Approximately 9000 mail items (letters and parcels) were destroyed in the fire. With Christmas fast approaching, we recognise this is a frustrating and ill-timed incident impacting our customers and we are currently working through the information we have to identify and then contact anyone who may have lost items.
On a related note, Lenovo are recalling power cords, thanks mpot. On December 9, 2014 Lenovo announced a worldwide voluntary recall and replacement program in cooperation with government regulatory agencies. This recall is for affected AC power cords distributed worldwide with Lenovo IdeaPad computers. These computers were sold from February 2011 through June 2012.
Tabris reminded me of the depressing fact that this week marks 42 years since humans last walked on the moon, or indeed, were outside Low Earth Orbit. Commemorate the event by playing with Google Moon if you like.
