Well, in a rather bold statement AMD have said "... a global switch to AMD chips would save the industry US$10 billion." Read more here. They also have taken a bit of time to play some UT2003... On their 64 bit CPU's!

Soyo have announced their competitor to the Shuttle PC, the Soyo MiniDragon Gaming PC. "For those who like metric, the size is 6.4cm (H) x 19.0cm (W) x 24.1cm (D), and includes space for an AGP card too apparently." Thanks Radix

FoderMe sent in word of another Brisbane OCAU BBQ. "held at Roma St Parklands on the 15th of December, which will make it the 2nd annual December BBQ. Details are in this thread and I ask that anyone who is coming please register their interest by posting in that thread"

Win an Nexus Fan Controller here. "We have been working on a yet unnamed project which involves TEC assisted water cooling. The completed project will be unveiled immediately after we review the Nexus fan controller. Here is where you come in. We need your help in naming this project."

Evangelion wants to show off this new Mod for F1 2002. It will be released close to the end of November under the name of GT 2002. Pics and info here and here. (Mega picture warning) "This mod(V3) struck me as one of the best graphical efforts produced as far as car models where concerned and had one of the most realistic and immediately complicated (but fun) physics engines to drive and IMHO it is one of the only games around worthy of being called a driving simulation.". Wow.

Dan has been writing again. This time about "hard drive speed, finding software for a suspiciously naccessorised camera, CPU cooler performance, VA ratings versus watts, and how to protect your PC if you smoke so much you choke it. Without, of course, cutting back on the cigarettes a bit. Oh, and there's also someone who thinks I don't like foreigners."

Detonator Destroyer 1.2 is out. "Detonator Destroyer is the only tool that completely removes detonator drivers from your Windows 95 (All versions), Windows98, Windows 98SE, Windows ME system. It removes all versions of detonators from 6.XX and up! - Support for 2000 and XP coming!"

If your interested in linux and would like a nice easy distro to start out on, have a look at Lycoris. "... Lycoris which is the new distribution of Linux from Redmond Linux Corp. This distribution is one of the new range of Linux distro's aimed at making Linux easy to install and use."
