Whale Sharks are now protected to some extent. This has nothing to do with OCAU apart from my spending some time diving with the whale sharks at Exmouth, Western Australia a couple of years ago. There's some Whale Shark pictures taken by some friends and me here and here. The whale shark can reach a length of 60 feet (18 meters), about the size of an 18-wheeler truck. Good to see these gentle giants getting a fair go at last.

NVIDIA have unveiled their single-chip solution motherboard chipset for AMD's Hammer CPU's. With AMD incorporating the formerly north bridge-based memory controller into its upcoming K8 processors, the role of the north bridge chip will become rather limited, Drew Henry, Nvidia’s senior director of platform product management said. As a result, Nvidia decided to include the AGP controller interface in the south bridge to shorten motherboard makers’ design time, he added.
