CyberCPU have done a comparison of hard drive performance using a serial ATA adapter that you might want to check out. The results are not surprising but they did reveal some interesting points.

Nigel from Customtech Computers says he has found a bug in 3DMark03 that will open the gates for the cheats. Try it for yourself. It works.
