Intel and AMD have both cut CPU prices over the last few days, with discounts reaching as high as 21% for Intel and 31.8% for AMD.

Viperlair have been fiddling with fan speeds and voltages.. their article is about the simple "7 volt trick" to reduce fan noise.

Apparently Sun Microsystems is going to use AMD chips in their thin Blade server line: Sun will use the Athlon XP-M with processor speeds starting at 1.2GHz.
