Heatseekerz have a guide to modding your machine with LEDs. They use an HX08 and show you how to drive the LEDs from your parallel port and control them with a small program you can write yourself.

Hammerman found some pics of some Opteron servers over at VR-Zone. 2 way and 4 way Opterons. Nice!

Jason from IBM pointed this article out to me. Multi-Core Multithreading is set to be implemented in the IBM Power5 CPU due for release next year.
