From Callan: Nasty scam doing the rounds today, purporting to be an Email from the Commonwealth Bank. It lures you to post your Netbank account/password, either from an inbuilt form or by linking to a cleverly crafted link. The target website has been closed, (looks like a server was compromised), but as this internet nasty was better socially engineered than most, some people may have been suckered in. If anyone has, I'd jump online quick smart, check the balance, change the password and contact Whichbank.
I've parked a "disarmed" copy of of the offending Email, for your perusal here.
It will have suckered in more than a few. - it should act as a wakeup call not to believe everything you get in Email.
The dodgy grammar and not-Australian phone number should have tipped people off that it wasn't really from the Commonwealth Bank, hopefully..
