The ModFathers do a rather unusual mod, a modded PSU. A beetle PSU in fact!
Phusion found a couple of interesting pieces on New Scientist, a programing competition where the entrants attempt to take control of 2500 processors. Also, from Monash University comes an algorithm that can tell people apart by their laughter.

The spammers are getting dirty, and clever. This one employs a trojan to keep the source of the spam moving from one infected machine to another at regular intervals. Damn!
