While we're on the topic of Microsoft, Bill Gates says that "developing its next generation of Windows operating system software (Longhorn) will cost as much as it cost the United States government to put a man on the Moon." It says so right here. Thanks Duncan.

YYK sends word of a worthy event coming up, one for those into pedal power. Its the "Sydney to the Gong bike ride for the MS Society (Multiple Sclerosis), on Sunday 2 November." As well as riders, YYK is looking for 500 Volunteers to help out on the day. If you can lend a hand, or some feet even, drop into the forum thread linked, and get in touch.
