It's the end of the line for the Alpha 64-bit processor, which has been passed from DEC to Compaq to HP over the last 11 years, thanks Sniper. It (and the team that created it) are often credited as the basis of some technology in AMD's Athlon CPU line.
I'm not a religious person, but sometimes you have to wonder.. :)
