Mandrake Linux 9.2 and LG CDROMs don't mix well together, as installing Mandrake 9.2 with a LG CDROM results in a physically dead CD drive. Or so we thought. LG have found a solution in the way of a firmware flash for the drive. Visit this page then click on Product Support and then drivers. All the info on how to resurrect your LG drive is there.
