Sorry, was a bit slack with the news yesterday. Kinda got on a roll with fixing the P3V4X forum - made some definite progress but not there yet.

Ahh, Duron=Spitfire.. derr. Here's me thinking they just magicked up a whole new CPU out of spare stuff lying around the chipfab.

Hey, I'm looking at getting a CD-R/RW drive. Got any tips or horror stories? Join the thread here and let me know. Ta.

We knew it was stupid before they did it and while they did it - now we have proof, after they did it. The Australian internet decency law or whatever it's called.. info here. It'd be interesting to see how many people were involved in reporting those 124 complaints, it's probably just one or two grumpy old busybodies.

Win a bunch of cooling gear (vapochill, water-cooler etc) here .. from the info provided it looks like it's open to international readers (they're in sweden I think).

Another competition here - this time an Australian site is giving away an LS120 drive and some media. You have to benchmark your machine, they're making a database. They use frames on their site (grr) so you have to go to the link, then click the top-right menu button ("Hardware Crankage") then scroll down a bit..

I bet you just can't get enough of the GeForce2 info at the moment. :) I'm certainly sick of the Previews and regurgitated press-releases. FiringSquad have a review of a real, actual, shipping product from Elsa.

Here's some info on overclocking the memory on a GeForce2-based card.

Funky "retro" joystick here, made by an Aussie, interviewed on an Aussie site, so you really have no excuse not to click.. :)

Trouble burning 80min CD's on your HP 8100i? Here's a bios trick that will let you do it.

There's a 5-way HDD cooler comparo here at Hexus.com.
