Seems to have been something of a week for unscrupulous behaviour on the web so far.. I saw over on TechWatch that Simline put up a little thing about some other site ripping off their site design and even their catalog scripts..

Also, AtomicRhino network, which hosted a few hardware sites including HardAvenue.com, InsaneHardware.com and IPKonfig.com.. seems to have turned off their servers. The rumour (unconfirmed) is that they've gone bust. So.. if you're wondering where those sites are, that's where. Maybe they couldn't cope with all the traffic InsaneHardware were getting for their dodged-up duron pictures yesterday.. :) Whatever the reason, there are some mighty pissed off webmasters out there at the moment - since the domains are down, even their email isn't working. This is one of the reasons why we are hosted on our own dedicated server. Hope you guys get back online soon!

I have updated the currently-running competition page, sweetened the pot by including some extra goodies in with the grand prizes. Quite a few entries rolling in but there's still room for some winners, so go Win Cool Stuff!.. you know you want to. :)

"Johnny, have you seen Fluffy?" .. "Well, he was sniffing around my computer desk, then I turned on these 300CFM fans in my PC.."

A few people wrote in to confirm that the BE6-2 Bios Wierdness (look a couple of news posts down) is in fact happening. If you grab the file off their ftp server, it's fine - just the http link is dodgy.

Dean sent word about the slow international net access over the last couple of days: The Slow links are due to a router failure at Alter.net in the US. Alter.net is the gateway between Telstra and the rest of the world. Bloody thing is also affecting Optus/DingoBlue too.

On a more morbid note, Scientists are getting closer to understanding where AIDS came from..

Thinking of setting up a multi-boot system using MS O/S's? There are a few tricks to it.. the ArsMasters have put up a multiboot guide which should make it easier for you.

Moldy pointed out this preview of Mac OS X .. I know, this isn't a Mac site, but it's kinda interesting stuff anyway. Very unixy base, NeXT-like interface, will even run on x86 hardware apparently. Hmm!

PCRoddin' are giving away a souped up GeForce MX..
