3DFX not making cards anymore (0 Comments) (link)
 Thursday, 16-November-2000  10:05:44 (GMT +10) - by Agg

A few people sent in links to this article on TheRegister explaining how 3DFX will go back to being a chipset-only manufacturer. This means they'll rely on other manufacturers (Creative, Abit, Asus, MSI etc) to buy their chipsets and build video cards around them - much as people do with NVIDIA's chipsets now. In fact, 3DFX USED to do this up until about 18 months ago.

But the main point of my news post is, didn't we hear about this MONTHS ago? Isn't this old news? I'm sure I heard about this, from TheRegister, a while ago.

Or maybe.. what was that bright flash before.. and now my watch is 20 minutes slow.. hmm!
