Moving house on Monday, gotta start packing all my stuff up, pulling my desk apart etc..

A few people said that Shafted, regularly getting 330 or so people, is bigger than QGL, so we were wrong in saying QGL was the biggest LAN party in Australia. Well, I don't know the full numbers either way, but the newspapers were billing QGL as the biggest ever and I'm sure I heard the number 385 at one point. Ahh well..

HardOCP have info on a recall of revision 1 Abit VP6's.. the Rev 2 boards are apparently fine.

While on HardOCP, I noticed this exploding motherboard and someone realising that CD-ROM drives really are cupholders.. :)

There's some desk modding going on in the forums.

Scarifier points out that the A7V 1005 full-release bios is out. Grab it here. I haven't looked at it yet, hopefully this irons out the wrinkles with the on-bios multiplier adjustment. Remember Bad Things might happen during bios flashes, so be careful.

Andy over at BXBoards has cranked out a couple more non-BX motherboard reviews.. :) firstly the Asus A7V and also the AOpen AX34 Pro 2. Not bad for a guy with a broken shoulder.

Tigger sends word of a fix for a CounterStrike DoS attack which people can use to kick you off the server.. these files let you stop it happening to you, apparently.

This french site has a comparo of the Voodoo 4-4500 and GeForce2 MX. Pics and graphs you can read if not the French body of the article. Mmmm.. french bodies..

Dan has some sensible advice up, his top 8 computer myths. My favourite is that really hairy computer that runs around Canada.

Squozen wants the world to know that by going here and downloading the new Alice demo, you put yourself in the draw to win a GF2 Ultra. Seems to be open to international peeps, too..

Adrian has a guide to making a battery extender for longer usage times of portable devices..

Tim sent a link about Telstra Big Pond Advanced's New Acceptable Usage Policy.. very similar to Optus@Home's "10 times the average" thing. Hmm, still got to chase up if I can get Optus@Home at the new place..

Inside Hardware reviewed the Soyo SY-K7VTA SocketA KT133 mobo.
