cC0 Celeron2 SMP - No go (0 Comments) (link)
 Tuesday, 19-December-2000  01:38:56 (GMT +10) - by Agg

There have been rumours in the forums (and on this news page!) about the cC0-stepping Celeron2's possibly having SMP support. Greg sent this in:

An end to the rumours.

It was rumoured that celeron2's cc0 stepping did dual cpu operation in conjunction with the bx chipset and abit slotket3's.

I can now safely say this is crap. Test spec - epox kp6-bs with dual 366's @ 550. 256mb ram. yadayadayada.

Insert 2 x cC0 celeron2-600's. Board finds one. Flaky as all hell with a second cpu plugged in (rarely gets past post) and on the one occasion I did get to boot windows got one cpu recognised.

Well, that's pretty definite and is unfortunately exactly what I've heard elsewhere, too..
