Just got this from Jackie Priestley, DingoBlue's Marketing Director, in response to an email about the 3 rumours drifting around at the moment, his comments in italics.
1. Dingoblue will stop being an Optus reseller At this stage we have NO PLANS to stop using Optus as our wholesale provider of dial up internet services. As we have always done, we will continue to look to the market to source the best available capacity at the best price to meet our customers needs
2. Dingoblue's internet access will not be via the Optus backbone anymore so this could affect user speed As above
3. The unlimited dial up plan will persist but there will be an 8-hour connection limit At this point in time we have NO PLANS to implement an 8 hour hard limit to our unlimited dial up product. (Keeping in mind we're the only TRULY unlimited ISP) We do have plans underway to introduce 'Small Bytes' - a limited 8 hour plan that will complement our existing internet product, not replace it.
Ahh, rumours..
