Malleus points out more internet-law insanity in Oz, firstly on The Register which claims The South Australia Parliament is pushing an Internet censorship bill that will make it an offence for anyone to post any information deemed offensive to children anywhere on the Internet. And it's the police that get to decide what is and isn't offensive. They link to this story on AustralianIT that goes into more detail on this lunacy..

Slashdot have turned their many-faceted eye upon overclocking again, prompted by the cnet article from yesterday. Sone interesting debate as usual.

Overclockers.com strapped a hairdryer fan/motor onto a heatsink to to see if lots of air makes lots of difference.. results here, thanks xy1em.

Wow, just noticed this entry in the PCDB, is that the most extreme video card cooling we've seen..?

Hexus have an article about memory limitations in chipset architectures, with a focus on the GeForce2.

3DRage have a list of things to do with that spare linux box you have lying around.

Wizard posted some cool pics of his system into the PCDB, nice blue powder-coated case.. some discussion of how it was done here in the CaseMods forum.

VR-Zone have some info on modding the MSI KT7 Pro and the Asus A7V133 for higher core volts.

Hexus have taken a pre-tested tbird combo to some very high speeds.. I'm still pretty impressed with 1GHz PC's and now people are pushing 1.5GHz with aircooling?!

Finding it hard to cough up the cash for a GeForce3? Maximum3Dhave the scoop on a new NVIDIA program which may assist.. Under the NVIDIA Donor Program, gamers can donate internal organs, which will be applied to the cost of the GeForce3-based video cards from participating manufacturers. Upon successful removal of the organ, donors will receive a mail in rebate certificate. Go on, you can't really be using BOTH of those kidneys.
GeForCities has some more info up, this time about FSAA etc on the GeForce3.

Dan's gone all James Bond on us.. playing with a fingerprint login gadget.
