With the impending closure of napster, many users are moving to audiogalaxy, however (unknownst to me) audiogalaxy contains spyware, Report at: http://www.infoanarchy.org
There is a spyware database here: http://www.spychecker.com plugin a program names and see if it contains spyware.. you'd be suprised.. cuteftp has contained up to 3 different versions
Lastly, Id recommend people to download Ad-Ware from http://www.lavasoft.de/aaw - its free and removes all traces from your registry/cookies cache/system files of resource hogging spyware programs
GRC (makers of spinrite) have a baby version called 'optout' .. not quite as good but useful for reference http://grc.com/optout.htm
Note that I'm not (necessarily) advocating the use of programs like Napster, this spyware thing is not really related to that (despite it being an early topic in the thread linked above).
