With Agg being so busy doing.. well, Agg things (too many to list, trust me on that) I've been enlisted to help write the news. I'll normally be doing it of a morning before Uni, but this being my first post I figured I'd do it of an evening to get a hang of things before doing it in a pre-caffeine blurr. Alot of you probably already know me (I lurk on #overclockers on irc.oz.org pretty much all the time), and to those that don't - gudday :)
Tim sent in a nifty little bandwith tester to see how much bandwith you've got to play with on your connection. Judging from the download speeds I get on my O@H connection it seems about right. Interesting to see it thinks my speeds are faster than a LAN :)
Anandtech has a review up on the Kyro II chipset with 64mb RAM. They seem to me like an interesting way of doing things - building a somewhat underpowered (by nVidia standards anyway) chipset and using the drivers to decrease the load on the card. Tech Report say in their review that the card contains technology one generation ahead of the PowerVR stuff in the Dreamcast.. cool. Flipside of all this is it means cheaper hardware. Way of the future kids.
ClubOverclocker have a release from IWill up on their front page basically saying that the multiplier issues the KK266-R (KT133A) mobo had have been fixed.
It seems that some people want to take the Ghetto Hardware thing thats been happening recently to the next level. SpodesAbode are taking it to the this-was-made-by-someone-on-their-way-to-a-mental-hospital extreme with this crazy waterblock.
There's an article up on AustralianIT about the recent problems users of Telstra Broadband have been experiencing. Seems another person forgot to pull up their anchor. Wonder if they realise how many people it affects. All those BPA users wanting a cstrike fix and can't get it.. mmm.. cstrike.
Reviews: SystemLogic have a review of the Claw. OverclockersOnline with the A7V-133. Nice board. I've got one :) MS GameVoice over on HardCoreWare
UPDATE: Yes, I now know how to hyperlink properly :D
