CounterStrike 1.1, Halflife Update

The Counter Strike version 1.1 linux server update came out yesterday and it seems the 1.1 client update won't be too far off either. Anyone that's a dedicated cstrike player like me will be rubbing their hands with anticipation waiting for this one. Selectivley taken from the README included with the linux server update, changes will include the following
- Added spectator mode -- allow_spectators (0/1)
- Upgraded player models to 512X512 textures
- Terrorist defuse kit pack re-added (why would a T want to defuse ??)
- Made jumping while shooting more inaccurate
- Took out sniper crosshair when zoomed out
- AWP leg shots now non-lethal
- Swimming animation added to models
- Status bar text uses team colors
- Added cs_thunder, de_rotterdam, de_inferno, & de_dust2
- Upgraded de_dust de_cbble, de_aztec, cs_siege, de_vegas, & cs_italy
- Fixed many cheats
Sounds like fun to me - reduced AWP effectivness can only be a good thing for maps like cs_seige. Those new maps also look pretty cool.
There is also an update to the Half-Life engine on which Counter-Strike (among many other mods) runs on. I'm not sure what changes there are new to verion 1.1.0.6, but suffice to say there'll be a heap of bugfixes and cheats removed among other things. You're going to need this to play on pretty much all servers very soon.

Its a bad time to have a slow connection.. these patches are going to be 20mb each. If your normally a heavy broadband user you might want to watch your AUP as well..
UPDATE: Counter-Strike 1.1 is out!!!. Fastest mirror for aus peeps at the moment seems to be here in NZ. I'd say that AusGamers will probably have a mirror up soon as well. Halflife 1.1.0.6 should be out soon now as well.. for a CS1.1 Server head over to NoSoup @ 130.194.2.141
