VP6 + Zalman "Flower" heatsink issue (0 Comments) (link)
 Friday, 13-April-2001  13:43:52 (GMT +10) - by Agg

Greg sent in some pics of his system based on an Abit VP6 dual-socket370 motherboard and two of the new Zalman "Flower" heatsinks. It's not super-clear from the pictures, but apparently the width of the heatsink is a problem, in that it contacts the back of a card in the AGP slot. Nasty way to fry your ultra and who knows what else once things start shorting there. Looks like an easy one to fix though, trim a little off 2 or 3 fins of the heatsink, maybe some electrical tape to be sure..
