Biiiiiiiiig happy birthday goes out to Gary_J, OCAU and IRC regular, who turns 18 today.. oh the joy of it. He'll be celebrating big time :)

LittleWhiteDog have put a Kensington Box Mouse into a comparo with two other mice.. word has it they "rigorously" tested each candidate..

Bit of P4 news floating around.. first is this article over at ZDNet pointing to a price drop of up to 50% of the said chip in attempt to bring the price/performance ratio closer to AMD chips.. this is supposedly going to start a fire sale of P3 chips and systems, so now might be the time to get in.

The other peice of P4 news floating around started over here in this Ace's Hardware thread, with a staff member of market research firm InQuest suggesting that the P4 uses a form of clock throttling, winding back the clock speed to keep the processor cool when it's under load. What this means is that when you need the processor grunt most, it is supposedly wound back to as much as 750MHz in order to keep the processor cool. This Inquirer article also talks about it.. if the accusations are true, it means that Intel has told white lies about the power dissipation of the P4, giving consumers a max figure that isn't the max at all.. might explain all those beefy P4 heatsinks we've seen.

FullOn3D have reviewed reviewed the IWill DVD266, Dually P3 Via DDR mobo.. and with P3 prices about to take a huge nosedive, dual P3's are going to be an increasingly attractive option..

The CAD have put a GlobalWin WBK38 up against an OCZ MonsterII Copper to see which one comes out on top.. seeing's you cant get the MonsterII's easily in AU, answer seems to be pretty clear for us :)

Finally today, Hardware-One have reviewed the Logitech I-Feel mouse, a USB product that vibrates.. oh so hard it is to resist the temptation to link to other products instead hehe..
