I guess we're all glued to our TV's for the big race? :) There's certainly something about the whole Mt Panorama weekend.

Overclockers.com have collated some AthlonXP Info from around the net and their readers, thanks Dr Kildare. Apparently AMD haven't had a great quarter but then, I don't think anyone has.

Those considering trying out the new ICQ 2001b Alpha might want to wait a while. Dicey downloaded it only to discover (a) it's time-limited (b) there's a connection limit on the Alpha-testing servers and they seem to be pretty much always full. I just wanted to let you know that I wasted time downloading that and not able to use ICQ.

There's an interesting if lengthy read on CounterPane.com about security both online and offline in the wake of the WTC and related terrorist attacks. In relation to those attacks, MS are rethinking some of the imagery associated with their WinXP Launch, thanks Sniper.

DDRZone have reviewed a KT266A board. More KT266A reviews here on TechHard, here on PCPop and here on AMD3D, here on Accelenation. Pics here on AkibaPC.

Technical programming article here on IBM.com which I'm not even going to pretend to understand, but according to Joe it shows M$ suck the butt and *nix r0><0rz.. he's obviously much more technical than me. :)

TheReg reckon Intel aim to kill the Floppy and Serial Ports.. thanks Hong.

A few people have things to say about E-store. Apparently they have appointed an administrator, but from the look of their site they seem to still be accepting orders. I'm no lawyer but I'm pretty sure trading while under administration is, if not actually illegal, strongly frowned upon. Maybe their website just hasn't been updated, but it's not too hard to replace index.html with a "we're closed" message. NX notes from a recent PC Authority mailout: As a duty of care to our readers at this earliest opportunity we strongly advise that whilst our magazine currently carries E-Store advertising, do not buy from them at this current time either online or offline until its position is clarified. Some inside info on ZDNet, thanks John, who notes I have been waiting for 2 1/2 weeks for my order, still has not arrived and my 6 e-mails to e-store go unanswered.

There's some hardware modding going on.. Digit-Life are upgrading SBLive! to SBLive! 5.1, no soldering required but some EEPROM value changing. However if you do feel like some soldering, OCWB are adding multiplier and FSB adjustment to their ECS K7S5A.

James says that there's a much better Slime Volleyball than the one we posted earlier. Okey dokey.

leperMessiah posted his review of the Philips 150X LCD into our own forums. nice! :)
