VIA have announced their KT333 chipset, the first to bring DDR333 memory support to SocketA. Reviews/articles on (deep breath) HardOCP, Tech-Report, xbitlabs, AnandTech, VIAHW, Digit-Life and AMDMB so far.

An interesting spam-baiting experiment over on DSLReports, thanks Mike. I've been getting a heap of spam over the last few weeks.. pretty much the same messages over and over, too. If I didn't buy it 30 emails ago I'm definitely not going to buy it now, guys.

IANAG have a PC2700 Shootout posted.

GameSpy have a preview of the game everyone's talking about, Warcraft 3, which came out in Beta recently.

AnandTech have a preview of nVIDIA's Quadro 4, their professional video chipset based on the GeForce4.

TomsHardware have announced their Readers Choice Awards for 2001.

GamePC have a Clash of the Duals, Xeon vs AthlonMP.

Interesting stuff going on out there in LAN-land. NGL have a notice on their front page with information about how the BSAA have taken an interest in the amount of software piracy that allegedly occurs at LAN parties. It seems the organisers of LAN's (not just NGL) will need to be a little more proactive in their attitude towards stopping piracy at their events. I know a lot of people will be up in arms about this as "leeching warez" is a major part of some people's LAN experience - but to my mind it's not all bad. I've been to a few LAN parties over the years (again, not singling out NGL, never been there) and it seems lately that the leeching has been more important than the gaming. A shift back to a focus on the gaming sounds like a good thing to me - I just hope that nobody cops a fine as part of that process. Thanks to ViPeR-7 for pointing that notice out.
