Catching up on press releases, so some of these are from late last year. I just spent a little while making a press release system based on our article/review engine. So now we can host some of the press releases we previously couldn't. Just makes things a little easier all around. Anyway...

AMD introduced the AMD Alchemy Au1200 processor for portable multimedia, thanks Simon. The Au1200 processor has been optimized for personal media players (PMP) and enables a new generation of conveniences and features, including scalable DVD-quality displays, effortless video content transfers directly from digital video recorders, and long-lasting battery life so consumers can stay mobile longer. ASUS announced what they claim is the World’s First AMD Motherboard Supporting SLI Dual-PCI Express Architecture. The A8N-SLI Deluxe adopted several exclusive designs including a special layout tailored for thermal issues, the EZ Plug for dependable power supply to satisfy the high power demand of two PCI Express graphics cards, and the EZ Selector for easy activation of SLI (Scalable Link Interface) mode. ASUS also announced a new 1RU Dual-Xeon server. The dual-Xeon architecture with up to 16GB DDR333 RAM and 3 SCSI HDDs enabled by the onboard SCSI controller provide both powerful processing capability and large capacity for data storage. One 64-bit, full-length and full-height PCI-X slot ensures outstanding scalability, while dual-Ethernet connection supports Gigabit LAN as well as 10/100Mbps speeds for sufficient bandwidth during network communication. Tyan have a new A64 motherboard, the Tomcat K8E.
