First up, a report of a TPG notebook recall in the forums. Can't find anything to confirm it on TPG's website, but given we've already had 2 reports of them catching fire from people in the forums, seems prudent to spread the word. This recall is for the battery included with all TPG Widescreen notebooks shipped between 26th July 2004 and 27th August 2004 with serial numbers starting with NB46, and with a battery batch number of AAFT5010000770. ... Customers should cease using any suspect batteries immediately. Please remove the battery from your notebook immediately. Do not use the notebook on battery power and do not charge the notebook with the battery inserted. You can continue to use the notebook on AC Adaptor/Power charger only without the battery inserted.
