Haven't done this in a little while. We've had a few months of shuffling the site between servers so logging has been a little tricky.. in fact, around Dec/Jan the site was being juggled between no less than 5 servers at 4 ISP's. You can imagine me ripping my hair out and having nightmares about DNS zone files.. anyway, all that is behind us now, with our new grunty server being very kindly hosted by AusGamers and Comindico.
So, February was the first month in a little while where we've been able to really accurately track the site statistics.. and here they are. In Feb 2002, OCAU:- served 4,334,645 pages
- to 267,878 unique clients
- totalling 317GB of outbound data
Remember, February is a short month, too. A 31 day month would have pushed us to about 4.8M pages. The most popular articles in Feb 2002 were:The newspage is loaded on average a smidge over 12,000 times a day. Anyway, this all further cements our position as the #1 PC hardware site in Australia.
