Thursday evening (0 Comments) (link)

Early Thursday evening

Well, with the server having been down for a bit, there's some news that needs doing. And apparently (I think more by default than any other reason, no-one else was around), I'm the one to do it. So here we go...

MrW wrote in to let us know that there's a new version of Roxio Easy CD Creator been released - version 5.1.1 to be exact. I personally use Nero, but for those of you who prefer Easy CD Creator, there's some significant improvements there - including support for DVD-R, DVD-R/W and WindowsXP.

Apparently compu-geeks is almost 2 years old (congrats guys!)! To celebrate, they're giving away an InnovaFlat-Flow Copper Base Water Block. Details are on their main page (you've already got the link!).

Gaming in 3D have published a rather interesting article, entitled "A New Era in Bus Technology - AGP8x and 3GIO". As you may suspect, it's not about Sydney Transit's latest fleet of (driverless - they're striking again on Monday & Tuesday) buses insured by GIO Insurance, but rather about new computer system bus technologies. Anyway, enough of my drivel, go and read the article if you're at all interested.

PC Stats have published specs for their March 2002 Dream Machines. You know the ones, you really wish you could have them, but you know there's no way you'll ever be able to afford to buy them unless you win lotto. Or rob a bank. And as we ALL know, robbing banks is a VERY bad idea. So don't do it, OK?
