No doubt some of you have either made or know of someone who has made a PVC "orange gun". This guy takes the same principle to a whole new level, and has made a flouro tube gun...Madness. Cheers jaw174. (And kids, don't try that at home)
Madshrimps have just published a custom watercooling "howto" using a Porsche radiator and other (budget?) items, to make one cool system. Check it out.
Rumours abound here on the upcoming NV30 GPU from nVIDIA. Interesting, but take it with a grain of salt till it's confirmed. Thanks DotDKay.
Merlin sends word : Another adware program that seems to be installing on computers without their owners realising, I like to think of myself as fairly knowledgable about computers and I didn't even realise I had it until I noticed that I had been getting popup windows all over the place and everytime I opened more than one internet explorer window at a time I was getting an error that forced me to close them all. Read more about it here.
sync_array sent in a few links. First, Intel wants to turn PCs into wireless LAN access points, secondly, if you are using wireless internet, here is how to mod a Galaxy dish (paytv) to suit and finally, 18,000 mile-per-hour speeds are way to slow for NASA, so they're planning on using nuclear and/or ION propulsion for the next wave of deep space satellites.

The Register had an article about the XP Search Assistant. Apparently if you use it's "search the internet" function, it sends microsoft your IP, search terms and some other information. Also, when connected to the internet and you use SA, it fetches files that it wants from Microsoft. Had a quick look for the article, but couldn't find it. Perhaps isengard (the mailer) could help us out here? And here it is thanks to an ever diligent OCAU reader, Jaani. :)
