Actiontec announced that the Enermax Galaxy 1000W PSU will be available in Australia from September 20. The result: Five 12V rails, which are an integral part of the upcoming revision of EPS12V PSU design guide by Intel, which will specify 1000W class PSU’s and respective technical requirements especially five rails as a must to be versatile enough to power QUAD CORE & QUAD CPU systems as well as QUAD graphics (GPU) systems (= TRIPLE QUAD). Moreover, it can power even TRIPLE QUAD + 24, because it is modular. Besides 6 natively connected drives, up to 18 additional drives can be connected. Antec announced a retroactive five-year warranty for their premium PSUs, previously only covered for 3 years. Antec's high-efficiency Neo HE and TruePower Trio lines of PSUs will be warranted for five years from the date of purchase for parts and labor. All Antec products have previously been backed by its industry-leading Three-Year Warranty. The new warranty will be retroactive to all selected PSUs purchased prior to the announcement of the new cover. More info here.

Foxconn have announced a range of GeForce 7 series video cards. "Foxconn has leveraged its expertise in the PC components business and worked closely with NVIDIA to develop this complete range of graphics solutions," commented Vincent Yuan, General Manger of Foxconn Channel Services Division.
