A few people noticed that ATI have released Catalyst 6.9 drivers.

Speaking of which, here's a mod that adds supersonic bullet cracks to BF2, adding to the "realism" of someone shooting at you. And remember that when you hear the crack the bullet has already passed you by so don't worry too much about it. The old saying is that "You never hear the one that hits you".

Nick spotted this exploding IBM laptop on slashdot. This used to be Alan's laptop, an IBM Thinkpad 600 with third-party batteries we bought separately: ie possibly not IBM's. Last night it exploded.
