IBM have conjured up and are patenting a 'terrific' idea of putting ads on DVD rentals. Yes, ads that can't even be fast forwarded, unless you pay the extra and get the ad-free DVD rental. More info here, thanks for sending that in Craig!

Bit-tech has obtained some exclusive photos of the final designs of MSI's new HydroGen waterblock that will be offered as a limited edition on some of its next generation Intel X48 boards.
Also from the guys over at Bit-Tech: DeviceVM, the maker of the Splashtop software which features embedded Linux "fast boot" products like the one used on the Asus P5E3 Deluxe WiFi-AP @n has been released under GPL. For the past month we had been running the 2007 Linux Graphics Survey at Phoronix where we polled users to find out what display hardware they use, what their driver choice(s) are, and their other preferences as it pertains to Linux desktop users on the visual front.
