Telstra have copped a flogging in PC Authority's survey. The survey's architect, PC Authority editor, Nick Ross, said: "Last year, Telstra BigPond came bottom of the entire survey. But this year, while it didn't come bottom, its performance was just as bad.

Tech Report have news of a chip problem affecting quad-core opteron supplies, and go on to say it affects Phenom 9500 and 9600 performance as well. And although AMD is no longer shipping quad-core Opterons to major server vendors and general customers, it is shipping Phenoms to large PC builders and distributors. In fact, AMD knew about the erratum before the Phenom product launch.
