Multi-GPU setup? Vista? There's a hotfix that might improve your performance. In some scenarios, games and benchmarks perform more poorly than expected on a Windows Vista-based computer. This issue occurs when the games and the benchmarks use multiple display adapters in a Linked Display Adapter (LDA) configuration.

Digit-Life play with some high-end goodies. Today we test the new generation of platforms from Intel and AMD. PCMech are looking at Pidgin. Pidgin is a free multi-protocol multi-platform instant messaging client. Prior to Pidgin I was a die-hard Trillian user. While it’s true that Trillian "Astra" will be available soon enough, the existing v3.1.8 client is old, ugly and is purposely limited in the "basic" version (the "pro" version costs $25). Pidgin on the other hand is free and does everything without costing a dime.

Atlantis has been delayed on the launch pad but should be good to go later today. Atlantis is slated to deliver the International Space Station's first European room, an RV-sized laboratory called Columbus. Its arrival will break the monopoly that the United States and Russia have had on the station's facilities since it opened in 1998.
