PCMechanic have listed who they believe are the top 10 sexiest women in technology. Today I am doing something that is uncharted territory for PCMech. See, we can't be all business here. Sometimes we just need to have fun. We talk computers, Internet and gadgets all day long. However, there are some incredibly bright and beautiful women out there doing the same. So, if People Magazine can have a list of the sexiest people, why can't PCMech?

Stocktake sales are on (well not in Adelaide just yet), so there's no shortage of bargains to blow your money on. But nevertheless, Bit-Tech have posted an article providing suggestions on how to Spend Your Christmas Cash. Also, Digital Trends have posted up an article with the same flavour about finding the best post-holiday deals.

Phoronix have posted their 'AYiR' article focusing on nVidia's driver progress in 2007. In 2005 we started our annual AYiR (A Year in Review) articles for looking at the progress of the proprietary ATI and NVIDIA Linux display drivers over time. Now in our third year of doing this, it's time to see how NVIDIA's binary driver has panned out over the past year.

OCC have also had a look back over 2007 and posted an article focusing on the graphics cards of 2007. So, which card is right for you? The question is quite similar to being asked, "which card is right for you?" People with no budget limits will always go for the best performance, regardless of price. However, most people want to get the most for their money, while still craving the performance that will deliver a satisfying gaming experience.

A bit of an old article, but on the subject of graphics cards, but Ambush sent in this article detailing the upgrading of graphics cards in notebooks. Generally, it is not so easy to upgrade / replace notebook video cards than desktop video cards. If it is possible and how to actually replace a video card is described in the following article.

There's heaps of overclocking guides for beginners on the web. Techreport have just published their version. To help the uninitiated get their feet wet with overclocking, we've whipped up a handy guide covering the basics. This is by no means an attempt to document every technique associated with turning up your system's clock speeds, but it should be a good place to start for newbies looking for their first taste. We're all pros around here though, right guys?

Mindy (you came and you gave without flaking) has sent in some interesting articles, in no particular order. First, NASA has apparently discovered a Death Star. Second, it's been suggested that there will be more sharks this season. Third, Telstra are accusing Optus of having a 'lazy and underutilised' cable network. Fourth, ACCC has published their views on Next Generation networks. Fifth, Sun's petabyte datacentre has made its debut in Australia. And finally, Nintendo's brain-training expert is teaming up with Toyota for developing cars especially for the elderly.

Finally, Trusted Reviews have looked at the Top of the Flops when it comes to games. In the spirit of providing a semblance of balance, it seems a good idea to remind us all about those that promised much, but either didn’t deliver or were simply ignored.
