The "toxic satellite" has been successfully blown to bits by a missile launched from a US warship, thanks Timbot. Left to its own devices, about half of the spacecraft would have been expected to survive the blazing descent through the atmosphere, scattering debris in a defined "corridor" which runs across the Earth's surface. Of course, plenty of people feel it was just a chance to show off their anti-satellite capability, and others think it was to destroy top-secret components.

Metko show how to add animation and colour to your engraved case mods. Most of the engravings today are done to a single sheet of acrylic but there is no reason why one couldn't use several of them. Added layers give some interesting possibilities like adding different colors to the design, make the design feel more 3D and finally, they enable animation.

PCPerspective have a preview of AMD's Quad-CrossFire. After successfully releasing the Radeon HD 3800-series last year based on the RV670 GPU, AMD promised support for three and four-GPUs working in a single system. The new CrossFireX software is finally evaluated at PC Perspective as they put one, two, three and four GPU configurations through a good set of gaming tests.

Digit-Life meanwhile checked out the Phenom X4 in RightMark. In this article we shall analyze the key features of the new AMD Family 10h Processors architecture. We'll compare those with features of a typical AMD K8 processor -- Athlon 64 X2 5200+ for the AM2 platform or, officially, NPT (New Platform Technology).
