AVG vs The Internet (0 Comments) (link)

There's a bit of angst about lately, regarding AVG Anti-Virus 8.0 apparently generating fake traffic to websites as it pre-scans Google results on people's PCs. It seems to pretend to be a normal browser while doing this, which makes it difficult to block. More chitchat about it on Whirlpool. I've been recommending AVG for a while now as a good free Anti-Virus program, but perhaps Avast and Avira should be considered instead.
