The next few are from AirQ, with the first looking at the U.S. Army's use of virtual training simulators. All of this is aimed at two major things. First, getting new soldiers familiar with how to work together as a team before they ever set foot on a real-life training battlefield. And second, getting the recruits to that point without having to use any ammunition, which can be quite expensive.

Pioneer have developed a read-only Blu-ray compatible disc that can hold 400GB of data over 16 layers. Pioneer invented a disc structure that can reduce crosstalk from adjacent layers, resulting in a 16-layer optical disc that can playback high-quality signals from every layer. … Each of the layers can hold 25 GB of data, the equivalent of one singel Blu-ray disc layer.

Sharp have unveiled an LCD TV which consumes only about a third of the power of a similarly-sized LCD TV. According to Sharp the television uses so little power it can even be run in areas not connected to an electricity grid, using a solar cell about the size of the television itself.

The last from AirQ is an article on the RACV's ranking of the most stealable cars. RACV chief engineer Michael Case said: "Clearly there are big differences in the results. techPowerUp have an interview with Alex Mei from OCZ Technology. While most consumers know OCZ as a memory manufacturer the company was previously a heatsink and video card manufacturer before I joined. To help make the choice easier, we are taking a look at three such boards all at once, ASUS' DDR2 Rampage Formula and also the DDR3 ECS X48T-A and Intel's DX48BT2.

t-break put an NVIDIA GTX 280 SLI setup through its paces. From past experiences, we've seen that SLI or Crossfire add quite a bit of overhead (SLI especially) and doubling the GPUs certainly doesn't result in doubling the performance- far from it actually. We already had nVidia's reference card and thus, when we received the ASUS GeForce GTX 280, we wanted to see how fast can it get with an SLI setup.
